Talk Like a Pirate!

I'm way late in posting this but sometimes life takes over. Sept. 19th was Talk Like a Pirate Day. It's a rowdy sort of day celebrated by pirates all over the place. I got to spend it with the amazing kids and faculty at Bell's Crossing Elementary in Simpsonville. We had a blast and the whole crew was so much fun! There's just something special about being surrounded by all those little pirates.
I enjoyed how the post plays with pirate language and celebrates the fun of speaking in a playful voice, encouraging readers to imagine characters and storytelling in a creative way. It reminded me how simple themes can spark excitement for reading and writing. When I had a busy week, I tried to Write my Programming Assignment while taking short breaks to read fun pieces like this and reset my mind. It made me realize that creativity can make learning feel lighter and more enjoyable.
